Wm McCoy Freeland, son of George & Mary Freeland, was born at Bellair, Crawford Co, IL , 26 Dec 1852 & departed this life 1 Jun 1932, aged 79 years, 5 months & 5 days. He survived by three years his wife, Laura Edith Holly, to whom he was married 1 May 1882 & who died 3 Jun 1929.
In his passing he leaves one older brother, Henry Freeland of Bellair & 9 children, as follows: Mrs Ethel Cramer of Yale; Mrs Maude Gower of Annapolis; Walter Freeland, Cheyenne; Charles Freeland, Columbus, OH; Ernest Freeland, Cincinnati, OH; Ernest Freeland, Kansas City, MO; John Freeland, Vandelia, IL & Mrs Edna Tracy, Annapolis. There was also a son who died in infancy.
He had also 26 grandchildren, several nephews & nieces & many other relatives & friends.
Funeral services were held at the residence of a daughter, Mrs Bert Gower, of Annapolis, Thursday afternoon, June 2, Rev Thomas H. Wilson conducting & the remains interred in Caset Cemetery.
