Othella was the Daughter of Carl Yeakel and Dorothy Pliscott who had nine children who came from the Baltic region. She had a brother named George Albert Yeackel who was born in Stockman, Germany April 15, 1876 and died August 15, 1947 age 71. Othella and Gustav owned a restaurant at 119 E. Main St. Nanticoke PA. Gustav is selling the liquor license as reported Oct 31, 1905 in the Wilkes-Barre Times.

According to the 1900 census she is living with her husband Gustave, born Jan. 1870 in Germany, in Nanticoke. They were married in 1894 but must have divorced sometime between 1900 and 1910. Gustave is buried in Glendale cemetery, Polk County, Iowa, as is one of their children Othella Edith Diemick Kampas.
Their other children were:
Dorothy W. Diemick (William W.) Turner
Hilda Dimmick (Claude) Boyd, also in Iowa
Carl D. Dimmick, Bucks County
