Gordon G. Book, 75, passed away Friday, February 6, 2004. Gordon was born January 18, 1929 to Theodore and Ellen (Maher) Book in Perry. He attended Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa, was a U.S. Army Korean War Veteran, and afterwards farmed for the rest of his life in Dallas County. He married Martha Jane Stump on July 3, 1954. She preceded him in death on November 8, 1999.
He was also preceded by his parents, and a stepmother, Katherine (York) Book. Gordon is survived by a daughter, Janice M. Stajcar and husband Joe; a son, John E. Book and wife Karen; four grandchildren, Jessica Stajcar, Christina Book, Shannon Book and Stephanie Book; and two half-sisters, Rebecca and Donna.
