Mary Frances Stepp Sutton, 85, went home to be with her Lord on June 8, 2015 at home surrounded by her family. She was born August 17, 1929 in Pontotoc County to Harvey and Mamie Stepp. She married Clarence Richard Sutton, December 25, 1953.

She retired from North Mississippi Medical Center after more than 20 years of service as a nursing assistant where she loved taking care of her patients.

She was a member of Belden Baptist Church for many years and a member at Northstar Church for the last nine years.

She was an excellent wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, daughter, sister and friend. She was truly a servant to everyone. She loved her family and delighted in her children and grandchildren and was truly blessed to see her first great-grandchild.

Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, June 14, 2015 at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E Pegues Funeral Home in Tupelo with Dr. Don Baggett and Ron McCully officiating. A graveside service will follow at Oak hill Cemetery in Pontotoc.

Survivors include one son, Rick Sutton (Shelia) of Trussville AL, two daughters Jane Sutton of Tupelo MS and Abby Sutton of Tupelo, MS; four grandchildren, Jonathan Sutton (Alexandra) of Philadelphia, PA, Katie Randall (Jarrod) of Nashville, TN, David Sutton (Sara) of Nashville TN, Christian Sutton of Trussville AL, and one great-grandchild, Arthur Avery Randall; sisters, Addie Mae Smith of East Alton IL, Hester Sellers (Johnny) of Pontotoc MS; brothers, Gene (Mary Frances) Stepp of Thaxton, MS, Gary Lee Stepp (Brenda) of Senatobia MS, and one, sister-in-law, Wille Stepp of Sardis, MS; five nieces, five nephews, and caregiver & friend Brittney Reeder.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, her parents, her brother, Sonny Stepp and sister, Hazel Stepp.

Pallbearers will be her nephews Donnie Sellers, Clifton Smith, Ronald Sellers, Josh Taylor, Gabe Taylor, and John Taylor.

Visitation will be 5 – 8 p.m. Saturday at W. E. Pegues, Tupelo.
