Paul Bowden Saturday, July 19, 1924 - Monday, September 19, 2016

Paul D. Bowden, age 92, of Myton, passed away at his home on Monday, September 19, 2016.
Paul was born July 19, 1924 in Roosevelt to John Frank and Annie Marie Daly Bowden. He married Marion Bowden and they later divorced. He married Fern Jensen, and she later died.
Paul really enjoyed dancing, and went to all of the local dances at the Senior Centers. It was at one of those dances that he met, Beverly Shakespear, asked her to dance and the rest is history. They were married on August 19, 2004.
Paul served in the Navy during WWII. He was very patriotic and was a member of the Myton American Legion Post #5. He worked at various jobs through the years: as a school bus driver, in a gilsonite mine, helped to build Flaming Gorge bridge, and as a driver for the Crossroads Sr. Center. His favorite occupation was farming and working with his sheep, cattle, and other farm animals, which he really cared a lot about. He was an active member of the Uintah Cowboy Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly, of Myton; his 9 step-children, many grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, Lester, Byron, Boyd, Wilma, Pauline, & Leola Bowden; and one step child.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 24, 2016, at the Hullinger Mortuary with a viewing on Friday from 6-8 p.m. and from 10-10:45 a.m. on Saturday.
Burial will be in the Roosevelt Memorial Park with military honors presented by the Myton and Roosevelt American Legions.
