NEWPORT NEWS - Myrtle Adams Lara, 75, a Peninsula resident for 53 years, died Monday, Feb. 1.
The native of Rocky Mount, N.C., was a member of Bethel Free Will Baptist Church.
Survived by her husband, Isaac N. Lara; two daughters, Louise B. Coppola and Cynthia E. Lara of Newport News; two sons, Bill S. Bradley and Jackie L. Bradley of Newport News; two sisters, Thelma A. Johnson of Smithfield, N.C., and Velma L. Toler of Princeton, N.C.; five brothers, Clarence W. Adams and Floyd J. Adams of Smithfield, N.C., Elmer G. Adams of Princeton, N.C., David V. Lawhon of Atlanta and Edward L. Lawhon of Hampton; nine grandchildren and seven great- grandchildren.
Visitation from 7 to 8 tonight at Peninsula Funeral Home. Funeral 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home by the Rev. Gene C. Parrisher. Burial in Peninsula Memorial Park.
