She leaves behind her two sisters, who loved her greatly, Summer Gilmore and Lindsay Zondag and their families.
Smith was born and raised in Salmon, a true Idaho girl. She attended Salmon schools and then completed her degree at North Idaho College before moving to Boise in 1999.
It was only natural that Smith selected a career as a social worker as she had a heart full of love and a fierce determination to serve those who needed her. As word of her passing circulated, the outpouring of love, support and good memories from her coworkers, friends (especially her Zumba ladies) and acquaintances was a great comfort to her family. She left us much too soon.
An open house in celebration of Smith's life was held in Salmon on June 25 at the Smith home located at 129 Lemhi Road.
