William T. Springs, a farmer, was the son of Elias A. Springs and Sarah Shuford Rhyne Springs. His middle name is cited in some records as Thomas and in others as "Turl" or "Tell." He was married to Alice Smith, then after her death to Zula Roper, and had children by both wives. He died in 1916 at the age of 56. William's widow Zula Roper Springs married Albert Millen (later called Albert Mellon), who had previously been married to Zula's late sister Magnolia Roper Millen.

In addition to other offspring linked here, children of William T. Springs (and his second wife Zula) include Carrie Mae Springs Brennan, born around 1908 and married in Michigan in 1948, and Walter Eli Springs (29 December 1912 - 7 July 1982). Carrie Springs's husband was known as John J. Brennan during their time together in Pontiac, MI. In earlier life he appears to have been Michael John Brennan, born in Ontario (1884) to John Brennan and Sarah McParland Brennan.
