John and Mary apparently lived in the house of his father, which is still standing today. It is surprising that grave markers have not been found for this couple; the History of Middlesex County, Massachusetts says they lived and died under an elm tree that Mary planted. They had nine children, born in Littleton from 1773 to 1790.
