Mary Lorene Beal Courtney, 78, passed away on September 19, 2016. Lorene was born on October 5, 1937 in Oklahoma City, OK to Roy and Maudie Bell (Jolly) Musgrave.

Lorene enjoyed working in her flower beds and keeping an immaculate garden. She enjoyed being outside and fishing for crappy. Lorene was a hard worker who would do anything for her family. In fact, she always put herself before others. During the holidays, she would have large gatherings at her house in which she would decorate, bake, and cook.

Lorene is preceded in death by her parents; first husband, James Beal; son, Roger Beal; and siblings, Carol Simer, Jouhree Kirby, Donald Musgrave, Virgil Musgrave, and Glen Musgrave. Survivors include her loving husband of 10 years, Rodney Courtney; children, Sherrie Sarten and husband Alvin, Nathan Beal and wife Eugenia, Kenny Beal and Teresa, Carrie Wertz and husband Kenneth; grandchildren, Jamie Shields and husband P.J., Charlis Dendy and husband Shane, Alvin D. Sarten II and wife Maria, David Beal, Chad Beal and wife Amanda, Ashley Beal, James Patrick Beal, Ceira Kolander, Zachary Wertz, Gary Wertz, and Bradley Wertz; 5 great-grandchildren; sisters, Pauline Prichard, Sheila Rhodes; and many other friends and family members who will miss her dearly.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, September 22, 2016 at Bill Eisenhour Northeast Chapel.
