Connie Long, 70, passed away on September 18, 2016, at her home in Altoona, Iowa.
She was born in Des Moines on August 4, 1946, daughter of Melvin and Delores Barnard.
Connie had a love for gambling, shopping, camping, and traveling. She also enjoyed wintering in Texas for many years.
Connie is survived by her brother, Jack Barnard; children, Tammy (David) Reid, Roger (Sharon) Long, and Coreen (Dave) Avery; grandchildren, David Reid, Jr. and Jessy James Dentler; and one great-grandchild, Lane Heath Dentler.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Long, Sr. and her parents.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, September 26, 2016, at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery, 1 NE 60th Avenue in Des Moines.
