James F. Richardson was born on December 5, 1858, New York. He was reared at Cordova, LeSuer county, Minn. In 1872 he learned the photography business which he has followed ever since.Until seven years ago when he was taken ill. At that time he came to Grand Rapids for his health, and since then has resided on his farm five miles east of Grand Rapis, where he passed away.
In 1879 he was married to Miss Lousia Luedke of Cordova. He leaves a wife and two children. Jessie F., age 10 and Anna May, aged five, and three brothers. W. E. Richardson, A.V. Richardson of Grand Rapids, and Steve Richardson of Milwaukee, and one sister, Mrs. Mary Brown of Keannedale, Washington.
