He worked many years as a farmer and then went to work as a machinist at American Wells, which later became Bethlehem Steel. He then went to work for Wolf Brand Chili working as a machine technician; later he wento to work for the City of Corsicana working in the area of water treatment where he worked for over 20 years, retiring at the age of 70.
He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist church for over 50 years.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 14, 2006 ath the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 15, 2006 at the Corley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Lain Teel & Rev. Harold Scott officiating. Interment will follow in the Hamilton-Beeman Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Leslie Cotten, Dickie Mullenix, Danny Baggett, David Blessing, Kenny Harlan, and Johnny Baggett.
Mr. Baggett was preceded in death by his Wife, Gladys Oneta Baggett.
He is survived by his Sons & Daughters-in-Law, Charles Leon & Donna Baggett of Fort Worth, TX. and Neal Ray & Ladena Baggett of Corsicana, TX., Daughters & Sons-in-Law, Linda & Sonny Carpenter of Corsicana, TX. & Gail & Keith Hoffman of Corsicana, TX., Five Grandchildren, Five Great Grandchildren, and numerous Nieces & Nephews.
