Wednesday morning at the home of her
daughter, Mrs. Barnes, in the northwest
part of our county. She was born
in northern Germany, August 15, 1838,
and was baptized and confirmed in the
Lutheran church. She was married to
Carl Klotz, December 23, 1860. and a
few years later they came to America.
Mr. Klotz died a number of years ago.
Of this union were born five sons and
four daughters; among the latter is
Mrs. E. R. Sitz, who has recently moved to
our city. Mrs. Klotz had reached
the ripe age of 78 years and 21 days.
The service was conducted by Rev.
Wiest in the Lutheran church, on Wednesday
afternoon. Interment was
made in Mount Allen cemetery.
