Mark Timothy Autry, of Memphis, TN, 60, died Sunday, September 18, 2016. Mark was born March 26, 1956, in Memphis, TN. The son of Eldon and Nell Autry, passed away at his home in Mountain View, AR. Mark attended White Station High School and was a valiant Memphis City Fireman for twenty-nine years. He was a hero many times over on and off the job. Mark was a local musician playing bass with numerous groups around Memphis and the surrounding area and he had a deep knowledge of music. He was a standing member of the Kudzu's "picking party." Mark was a WEVL volunteer, an avid fisherman and he enjoyed discovering various craft beers. In 1995, he participated in the World Police and Fire games in Melbourne, AU representing the Memphis Firefighters Muster Team. He enjoyed traveling the United States; especially the Western States. Always taking back roads when available and exploring rural America. He is survived by his father, Eldon Autry, Memphis; two brothers, Matt (Sabine) Autry, Atlanta. GA., and Andy (Celeste) Autry, Memphis, TN, his nephews Joshua and Bryce Autry, his long-time companion, Maria Spence, and his dog Rowdy. He is preceded in death by his mother, Nell Boswell Autry. Visitation will be at High Point Funeral Home, 3788 Summer Ave. Memphis, TN 38122, Wednesday, September 21st from 5:00 -7:00 PM. Graveside Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, September 22nd at the Forest Hill Cemetery, 2440 Whitten Rd. Memphis, TN 38133.
