September 19--Mr. Benjamin Rance Benton, 75, of Glenwood, passed away Friday, September 16, 2016 at Community Hospice in Vidalia, GA after an extended illness. He was born June 26, 1941 in Wheeler County to the late Fannie Foster and Bernon Benton. Mr. Benton was a graduate of Glenwood High School and Brewton Parker College. He served in the United States Air Force for four years and was retired from Robins Air Force Base. He was also a member of Sardis Baptist Church.
Visitation will be held Sunday, September 18, 2016 at Towns Funeral Home from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Graveside services for Mr. Benton will be 5:00 P.M. Monday, September 19, 2016 at the Benton Family Cemetery: 1653 Hwy 126 E. Glenwood, GA 30428
