John married Edna and had 5 children, 16 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
John is described as very musically talented and could play just about any instrument. He had exceptionally good humour, a mild nature and was happy go lucky.
He worked as a logger and hobbies included being outdoors, fishing and hunting and enjoying life.
John was the last surviving sibling in his family and was predeceased by a grandson, Ryan.
A graveside service was held at Cranbrook Cemetery, Westlawn section, on Friday, August 26, 2011.
