“Dr. Ralph Scruby, brother of Mrs. Julius F. Meinershagen and H. D. Scruby, died Tuesday night at a hospital in Yakima, Wash. He had been seriously ill of a heart condition for several weeks.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete. Burial will be in the Wheeling Cemetery under direction of the Lindley Funeral Home.

Dr. Scruby, a son of Mr. and Mrs. H. P. (Hod) Scruby, was born on Sept. 13, 1891, at Wheeling. He attended school in Chillicothe. He had resided at Yakima the last ten years and previous to that, was a dentist at Wrangell, Alaska for a number of years and also at Reno and Sparks, Nevada.

In addition to Mrs. Meinershagen and Mr. Scruby of this city, he is survived by his widow of the home.” The Chillicothe Constitution-Tribune, December 18, 1963
