Bernice Pullen O'Neal passed from this earthly life on September 13, 2016 at the age of 90. She was surrounded by her loving family.
She is the widow of H.T. O'Neal Jr. of Macon, and is predeceased by her mother Ellen Rogers Pullen, father James Thomas Pullen, and siblings Clarence Pullen, Leamon Pullen, Lyman Pullen, G.L. Pullen, Mrs. Effie Cammack and Mrs. Eula Toler.
Bernice was born on April 17, 1926 and raised on a family farm in Soperton, Ga. She moved to Macon, GA during WW II and married the late Walter Spengler. She lived in Macon most of her life and worked as a legal secretary until age 75. She lived her life with grace and style and was devoted to her family.
A visitation will be held at Snow's Memorial Chapel, 746 Cherry Street, Macon on Friday, September 16, from 6-8 pm. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 17 at 11 am at Mt. Zion Baptist Church 7015 Rivoli Drive in Macon. In lieu of flowers, please contribute to the Alzheimer's Association .
