FUNERALS
Alexander Weed
Funeral services for Alexander Weed were held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Waggener & Campbell chapel by Rev. John Alver of the Lutheran church of Bigfork. During the service Don Shepard sang two appropriate solo selections accompanied at the organ by Mrs. J. M. Carlson. Friends acting as pall bearers were W. R. Martin, H. A. Veeder, Guy Houston, Wilfred Johnson, A. G. Saunders and E. M. Wright. Honorary bearers were Harry Ratchford, Oliver Robinson, Nels Peterson, Charles Short, Jay Caswell and Ernest O'Brien. Interment was made in the Conrad Memorial cemetery.
OBITUARY
Alexander Weed was born in Waseca County, Minnesota, Dec. 12, 1875 and was married to Marie Katherine Gehres at Sleepy Eye, Minnesota from which union seven children were born, all of whom are now living. After settling at Bigfork, Mont. in 1903 he returned to Minnesota for a brief period later to return to Bigfork where he has since resided.
He leaves his family: Mrs. Alexander Weed residing at Bigfork, Vernon A. Weed serving with the medical corps in the armed forces now stationed at Mitchel Field, Long Island, New York, and Gehres D. Weed of Kalispell, Mrs. Alfen Melby, Seattle; Maynard K. Weed with the armed forces on foreign duty; Mrs. Earling Wade, Minneapolis, Minn.; George Weed with the U. S. Navy stationed at Pasco, Wash., and Willard M. Weed also with the U. S. Navy stationed at Pasco, Wash.
