Albert Ross Campbell, III, 69 of Archdale lost a courageous battle with cancer on Wednesday at the Hospice Home at High Point and is now resting safely in the arms of Jesus. Born August 24, 1947 in Guilford County he is the son of A.R. Campbell, Jr. of Mooresville and the late Doris K. Campbell. He was a lifelong resident of the area and a member of Oak View Baptist Church. Mr. Campbell retired from Directional Furniture as the plant manager.
In addition to his father, Mr. Campbell is survived by his wife Pamela N. Campbell of the home and two daughters; Shelli R. Campbell of High Point and Pamela C. Tollison (Larry) of Thomasville and a granddaughter Shea Hinesley.
A memorial service to celebrate the life of Albert Ross Campbell, III will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday at Oak View Baptist Church with the Pastor Steve Smith officiating. The family will greet friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials be given to the Benevolent Fund at Oak View Baptist Church, 810 Oakview Road, High Point, NC 27265 or to Hospice of the Piedmont, 1801 Westchester Drive, High Point, NC 27262.
