LOCAL WOMAN PHYSICIAN DIED IN ATLANTA TUESDAY
Mrs. Fedellla Jane LiFrage, 87, a native of Columbus, died Tuesday night at Crawford Long Hospital in Atlanta, after a long illness.
She was born on Dec. 27, 1880 in Columbus , a daughter of the late Rev. J. W. and Jane Hendrix Howard and was a former member of Rose Hill Baptist Church.
Mrs. LiFrage was Columbus' first woman physician and was the first woman doctor to do post graduate work at Tulane University.
At the age of 18 she married S. H. Odom and became active in the Rose Hill Church where she organized a Sunday School Class.
After the death of Odom, Mrs. LiFrage married C. E. LiFrage. They were married for 26 years until his death in 1952.
Active in the Women's Missionary Union, Mr. LiFrage also organized the "circle plan" of the WMU at Rose Hill.
Survivors include two sons, the Rev. Herman Sidney Odom, Jackson, Ga., and Howard Odom, Columbus; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

LIFRAGE - Funeral services for Mrs. Fidella J. LiFrage will be held Thursday 3 p.m. at Rosehill Baptist Church with Dr. A. Judson Burrell, Dr. Charles J. Grande and Rev. Kennith Startup officiating. Interment will be in Riverdale Cemetery, with grandsons serving as pallbearers. Mrs. LiFrage is survived by two sons, Rev. Sidney Herman Odom of Jackson, Georgia, Howard Odom of Columbus; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. per: Lois Goodin Hottinger
