Former Dunbar, WI resident, Blanche Katherine Bissonnette, age 91, died Thursday, Dec. 6 at Maryhill Manor in Niagara, WI. She was born July 6, 1916 in Hayward, WI, the daughter of Martin and Barbara (Olson) Erickson.

On Nov. 18, 1933 she married Jerome Bissonnette in Florence, WI and he preceded her in death on Feb. 3, 1993.

She lived in Franksville where she and her husband raised their family from 1945 until 1975. During this time she was employed as a cook at Wisconsin Southern Center and at Raymond Elementary School.
In 1975 they moved to Dunbar and she worked there as a cook at Richard’s Super Club for 19 years. She was also a reporter for the Peshtigo Times. In 1995 she moved to Goodman and was a member of the Senior Citizens Club and the Homemakers Club.

Surviving are two sons: Thomas (Sharon) Bissonnette of Franksville, WI and Jeremiah Bizonet of Ann Arbor, MI;
a daughter, Mrs. Richard (Nancy) Krause of Franksville; a brother, Melvin Erickson of Menomonee Falls; seven grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

A memorial visitation will be held at Northwoods Chapel in Pembine, WI on Saturday, Dec. 15 from 9:30 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Rev. Fred Barribeau will officiate and burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Dunbar.
