Linnie J. Long Dies Suddenly Today
In Beaver Falls Home

Miss Linnie J. Long, 75, well known Beaver Falls resident and prominent leader of the Women's Christian Temperance Union for many years, died suddenly this morning in her home, 3007 College Avenue, Beaver Falls.
Miss Long was born August 14, 1868 in South Beaver Township and celebrated her birthday anniversary a week ago last Saturday. She came to Beaver Falls in 1886 to attend Geneva College and graduated from there in 1890. She taught in the Beaver Falls public schools for 29 years, leaving that post in 1919.
For the past 39 years, she had been state corresponding secretary of the W.C.T.U. and was very active in that work. Miss Long was also a member of the Darlington Reformed Presbyterian Church. She had also the corresponding secretary for the Beaver County W.C.T.U. for 16 years prior to being elected to the state post.
Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Andrew F. Heltman of Altoona and 6 nieces and nephews, L.V., Mabel and John C. Long of Beaver Falls, Mrs. Genevieve Swan, Williamsport, F.L. Heltman of Cleveland and Mrs Frank Bricker, Glen Rock, N.J.
