He was born on August 30th 1933 in West Addison, Vt., he was the son of Raymond Howard Bodette Sr. and Rose Mary (Field) Bodette Sr.
He graduated from Vergennes High School in Vergennes, Vt.
He married Alice Octavia Tucker on May 15th 1954 in Vergennes, Vermont.
He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Korea.
He returned to West Addison, Vt. where he worked with his father on the family farm, and continued to farm with his sons until he retired. He always grew a large garden and shared with others.
Bud loved Lake Champlain. He spent many hours ice fishing with friends and family and bullhead fishing with his sons. Many friends came for picnics at the lake.
Almost every day he went to sit and contemplate the lake, and could often be found there with his binoculars.
He was an avid hunter of Native American artifacts and found many while working in the fields.
He loved the history of Lake Champlain and was a member of the Addison Historical Society.
He was predeceased by one son; Daniel "Dan" Mark Bodette on October 29th 1981 and one sister; Marie Rose (Bodette) Lisa on June 9th 2014.
