Keilah (Wiggins) Abbott, 45, of Cowpens, SC, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Monday, November 27, 2006, after a long battle with cancer.

Born April 1, 1961, in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of Danny Richard Wiggins (3 Apr 1937 - 22 Feb 2007) of Cartersville, GA, and Martha Kay Mathis Hawkins of Cowpens.

A graduate of the University of South Carolina - Spartanburg, she was employed with Spartanburg School District 3 as a 2nd grade teacher at Cowpens Elementary School. She previously taught at Mountain View Christian Academy.

She was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church where she was the organist, special singer, and former Sunday School teacher.

Surviving in addition to her parents is her husband of 26 years, Paul D. Abbott, Jr.; a daughter, Amber A. Spencer and her husband Jarred Spencer of Spartanburg; a son, Alex Z. Abbott of the home; two sisters, Danene Womack of Cartersville, GA, and Karri Linder of Cowpens; her grandmother, Ruby Wiggins of Cartersville, GA; and two special aunts, Cathy Gray and Kim Mahaffey, both of Cowpens. She was predeceased by a brother, Darin Wiggins.

Visitation was 6:00-8:00 PM on Tuesday, November 28, 2006, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel.

Funeral services were held at 3:30 PM on Wednesday, November 29, 2006, at Mountain View Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Steven Griffith and the Rev. Dr. Jimmy Robbins. Burial was in Sunset Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Steve Abbott, Kyle Atkins, Kent Gray, Mike Mathis, Wayne Mayo, and Randy Robbs.
In lieu of flowers, memorials could be made to Mountain View Baptist Christian Academy, 650 Battleground Road, Cowpens, SC 29330; or to Childrens Assistance Fund, c/o Spartanburg School District 3, P. O. Box 267, Glendale, SC 29346.
