NAMPA — Funeral services for Walter Cleveland Comer, 81, of Tangent, Ore., a former resident of the Nampa area who died at Tangent, Friday, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Alsip Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at Cloverdale Cemetery. Friends may contribute to the Heart Fund, or flowers may be sent.
Mr. Comer was born May 20, 1885 at Hatfield, Mo. He lived in Missouri, Iowa, Idaho, at Mills City, Ore., and Lebanon, Ore., prior to moving to Tangent, Ore. in 1954. He had worked as a farmer, logger, and carpenter. He was married to Etta Bell Hardrick in 1907 at Allendale, Mo.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Etta Bell Comer of Nampa Route 3; two sons, Elvis F. Comer of Nampa Route 3, and Wayne O. Comer of Kuna; one daughter, Mrs. Alyce Gregg of Nampa; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, Paris Comer, on May 1, 1964.
