Services for Joe E. McDowell were heled at Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Home. He was a retired brand inspector. Mr. McDowell and his wife were among the long-time ranching families along the Canadian River. They made their home at Mr. McDowell's father's ranch until 1912. He and his wife were married on 23 December 1900. A cattleman all his life, Mr. McDowell was once employed by the Western Stock Yards. Survived by his wife; one daughter - Mrs. Thomas Wright; one son - Roy L. McDowell; one grandchild.
