Sallie Belle Norville, 94, of Morganton, NC died Saturday, September 10, 2016. Born in Sumter County, GA, she was the daughter of the late Ivey Pinkney Kaylor and Louise Frances Williams Kaylor.

Sallie is survived by her children, Margie Ingle and husband, Robert, of Hickory, Martha “Sis” Hartley and husband, R.H., of Granite Falls, Roger Brown and wife, Nancy, of Huntersville, and Florence “Babe” Lowman of Granite Falls; step-children, Jimmy, Doug, Larry, and Harold Norville, Helen Marrow, and Margaret Bradley, all of Morganton, a sister, Rachel Walker of Hudson, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Sallie was preceded in death by her first husband, Delkie Brown; second husband, Joseph Ray Norville; a son, Clifford Dean Brown; and grandchildren, Dana and Johnny Gilliland.

The family will receive friends from 1 - 2 p.m., Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center. A graveside service will follow at 3 p.m. at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Lenoir.
