Former Sheridan Resident
Newt W. Baugh, age 73, died suddenly of a heart attack in Bly, Oregon, Sunday.
Mr. Baugh, retired farmer, and former resident of Grant and Jefferson Counties had gone to Oregon to make his home with his son, Butler Lee Baugh.
He was born in Grant County, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Baugh, receiving his education in Grant county
public schools.
Mr. Baugh is survived by two sons, Butler Lee Baugh, of Bly, Oregon, and Raymone Eugene Baugh of Pine Bluff; six daughters, Mrs. Roy Kieth of Camden, Mrs. Johnie Garrett of North Little, Mrs. Dewayne Puckett of Sheridan, Mrs. Hubert West of Oregon, Mrs. Leonard Stuckey of California and Mrs. Robert Lewis of California; two sisters, Mrs. Etta Young and Mrs. Era Waymack of Pine Bluff; two brothers, J. D. Baugh and John M. Baugh of Pine Bluff; fourteen grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
The body is due to arrive Friday at 7:15 p.m.

Newt E. Baugh, age 73, died suddenly of a heart attack in Bly, Oregon, Sunday.
Baugh, a retired farmer, was the son of the late J. M. and Mattie Rhoden Baugh.
He was born in Sheridan, where he received his education and remained until one year ago when he went to make his home whit his son, Butler Lee Baugh in Oregon.
He married the former Miss Eliza Tate of Keo, in 1898. She preceded him in death January 1, 1950
He was a member of the Center Camp Methodist Church.
Baugh is survived by two sons; Butler Lee Baugh of Bly, Oregon, Raymond Eugene Baugh of Pine Bluff; six daughters; Mrs. Floy Keith of Camden, Mrs. Johnie Garrett of North Little Rock, Mrs. DeWayne Puckett of Sheridan, Mrs. Hubert West of Oregon, Mrs. Leonard Stuckey of California, two sisters, Mrs. Etta Young and Mrs. Era Waymack of Pine Bluff; two brothers, J. D. and John M. Baugh of Pine Bluff; 14 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Center Grove Church near Sheridan. Rev. C. N. Glover, Baptist minister of Sheridan, will conduct the services.
Burial will be in Center Camp Ground Cemetery with the South Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Active pallbearers will be: Avery McGehee, Bill Clark, Laughton Taylor, Jack Hardin, Victor Brown, Jack Taylor, Lee Ester Webb, Thurman Faulkner, all of Sheridan, Ark.
Honorary pallbearers will be: Dr. C. P. Caple of Pine Bluff, Ed F. McDonald, J. R. Mathews, Cate Culpepper, Coats A. Mitchell, Tom Person, Bal Young, Gene Webb, all of Sheridan, and Dr. J. W. Stephens of Pine Bluff.
The body will remain in the parlors of the South Funeral Home until funeral time.
