Blair resident Wilma Joyce Blevins, age 81 passed from this life on September 9, 2016 in Oklahoma City. Wilma was born on May 29, 1935 to Walter Lee Phillips and Elsie Lee (Decker) Phillips in Cold Springs, Oklahoma. Wilma in her early years lived and attended grade school up until the eighth grade in Cold Springs, then later moved to Roosevelt where she graduated from high school.. Wilma did many things in her life time working at the Robert Shaw Facility, then later in Long Beach, California she worked as a bank teller for many years and then retiring from the All-American Convenient Store in Blair. Wilma enjoyed camping, gardening, (she made the best jelly and deer jerky) and anything outdoors. Now when it comes to fishing she was truly a fisherwoman. To say she loved to fish would be an understatement. She was proud of her Cold Springs heritage and loved to visit with people about it. Wilma truly loved people but the thing she especially enjoyed was her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her family. Wilma was a remarkable woman who will be dearly missed. She is survived by two sons; Kenny Blevins and wife Becky of Blair and Eddie Blevins also of Blair; one daughter; Joyce Thacker and husband Mike of Elk City; one brother; Larry Phillips and wife Sandra of Roosevelt; five grandchildren; Brandi, Sherri, Kenneth, Jaymi and Eddie Michael; six great-grandchildren; Skyler, Joe, Luke, Kelby, Kaylee and Samuel. Wilma is also survived by nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Wilma was preceded in death by her parents; brother Vernon Lee Phillips and two sisters; Pauline Adams and Beulah Davis.

Services for Wilma are scheduled for Monday 1:00 p.m. at the Church of Christ in Roosevelt with Mike Suiter officiating. Interment will follow in the Roosevelt Cemetery with Deryl Powell, Brett Powell, Keith Freeland, Dale Miller, Harold Perry and Mickey May serving as pallbearers.
