RALPH WAYNE LANGSTON, 69, of Memphis, passed away on Saturday, November 19, 2011.Born on December 17, 1941 in Trumann, AR, he was the son of Odis and Gertrude Billingsley Langston and served in the U.S. Army. He also was a retired Memphis Police Officer and a member of Berclair Lodge, F & AM. He was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy; an infant daughter, Angela; two sisters, Lillian Aquino and Lavonne Baker, and one brother, D.W. Langston. Mr. Langston is survived by his son, Earl Lee of Memphis; three daughters, Susan (James) Curry of Cordova, Karen (Joe) Sparks of Valley, WA and Debra Langston; sister, Billie Beard; ten grandchildren; one great-grandson, and a number of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Friday evening, November 25 from 5-8 p.m. (Masonic service at 7:30) at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Ave. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, November 26 at the funeral home with interment to follow in Forest Hill Cemetery-East. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial gifts be made to either the American Diabetes Association, American Heart Association or to the charity of the donor's choice.
