Lawrence Michael Vandling passed away Aug. 20, 2016. Larry was born April 29, 1945, in Brentwood, Calif. He graduated from Loyola Marymount HS and later earned a BS in history from Oregon University. In 1969, he met the love of his life, Sandee in Hawaii, they were instantly inseparable. Larry became part of the family bonding with mother and brothers from the start. They married in August 1972 and he became father to her four amazing kids. After moving to Newport Beach, Tiffany and Matthew soon followed. Larry was an accomplished business owner, lover of travel, believer in people and giver to all. He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Jennifer. He is survived by his loving wife, of 45 years, Sandra; his adored children, Michael, Michele and Christopher McDaniels, Tiffany Lepore, Matthew Vandling; and son-in-law, Ryan Lepore. He shared his love of the ocean with his grandchildren, who lovingly refer to him as "Papa." He was proud of each of them, Nicholas, Michael, Alex, Devlin, Jacob, Chole, Tucker and Zachary. He was truly the best grandfather ever. He will be forever missed, Love Ohana! Aloha Makuakane. Services will be private.
