Mr. Allen L. Dorough, Sr., age 70, of Franklin, Georgia, passed away at his home Thursday, October 27, 2005. He was the son of the late James and Bertha Wellington. He was in the U.S. Navy in the late 1950's, a truck driver, and a member of the Masonic Lodge. He has left behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Marlene Dorough, of the home.
Also he leaves behind three sons, Allen Dorough, Jr. of Griffin, GA, Walter Lee Dorough, Round Oak, GA, and Raymond W. Dorough,Brooks, GA, two daughters, Patricia Young, Jonesboro, GA, and Maryanne Hanes, of Newnan, GA. Mr. Dorough has 2 brothers, and 1 sister, 11 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends and family on Friday, October 28, 2005, from 5:00pm to 9:00pm at the funeral home. Interment will be at Holly Hill Memorial Park. Services honoring Mr. Dorough's life will be held Saturday, October 29, 2005, at 3:00 pm, with Rev. Gerald Camp, officatiing, at Holly Hill Memorial Chapel, 431 SW Broad Street, Fairburn, GA 30213.
