BIOGRAPHY-Michael Lee Armstrong was born on July 26, 1951 in Amarillo, Texas, to George and Jo Vivian Daniell Armstrong. Mike married Sharon Crawford on March 2, 1991 in Hot Springs, Arkansas. He had a 30 year legendary career with GTE/ Verizon. Mike retired in 1999 and returned home to Memphis, Texas. He loved golf and was a special Paw Paw to many. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Memphis.

SURVIVORS- his loving wife Sharon, 1 brother, Louie Armstrong and wife Barbara; 3 daughters, Mechelle Pope and husband Troy, Anita Blakey and husband Clint, Kaci Sexton and husband Dustin; 3 sons, Steven Armstrong and wife Karen, Daniel Armstrong and wife Jenny, and Micah Armstrong; 13 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, numerous nieces and nephews and countless friends and family.

PRECEDED BY- his parents and step father C.H. “Smokey” Soape.

MEMORIALS – In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorials be made to a favorite local charity.
