Mrs. Thelma Louise Adams Sturgill, age 84, of Traphill Road, Hays, widow of Claudis Levi Sturgill, died Wednesday, December 6, 2006 at Wilkes Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, 12:00 Noon, December 9, 2006 at Flint Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Reeves and the Rev. Jackie Richardson officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 11:30. Burial will be in Mountlawn Memorial Park.

Mrs. Sturgill was born May 23, 1922 in Washington County, VA to Luther and Etta Gentry Adams. She was a member of Flint Hill Baptist Church.

She is survived by: two daughters, Beulah Peak and husband, Robert of Vermilion, OH; Brenda Bales and husband, Barry of St. Louis, MO; two sons, Claude L. Sturgill and wife, Susan of North Wilkesboro, David E. Sturgill and wife, Sharon of Pounding Mill, VA; two sisters, Alma Wyatt of North Wilkesboro, Mildred Turner of Yadkinville; one brother, John Adams of North Wilkesboro; nine grandchildren, 15 great, grandchildren, two step grandchildren and two step great-grandchildren.
