Sarah Davis Grice could have passed away between 1873 when William Benjamin Grice was born and 1875 when Elbert remarried. I have not been able to locate Sarah or James' death records. William B Grice's death records have both of his parents, Sarah Davis and Elbert Grice listed on them. I have sources attached to James on Family Search, his ID number is L5PW-2F7. James' wife Mary Elizabeth Laney's marital status on her 1920 U.S. Census was widowed.
