SEMINOLE -- Graveside services for Jerry Michael Alfrey, 63, were 2 p.m. Saturday at Maple Cemetery, Arrangements were under the direction of Griffin-Hillcrest Funeral Home and Cemetery.

Born Oct. 1, 1943, at Shawnee to Paul and Arlene Haworth Alfrey, he died Dec. 6, 2006, at Ardmore.

Michael attended and graduated high school at Shidler in 1961. He then enlisted and served in the U.S. Army and received an honorable discharge in September 1963. Michael worked for Voldt Air Craft for a short time in 1981 and 1982, and in the oilfield throughout the state. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Ardmore.

Michael was known to be a friendly person and enjoyed spending time visiting with his friends in the community.

Survivors include; one son, Michael Alfrey, Arizona; one daughter, Michele Harris and her husband, Bobby, Cleburne, Texas; one sister, Paula Jones and her husband, Lowell, Ardmore; grandsons, Chance and Beau Harris, Cleburne; and nieces, Leslie Gillaspy, Lone Grove, Tina Callander and Melissa Welch, Ardmore, and Carlene Henderson, Ada.
