Marie Cunningham, 81, died Saturday, June 5, 1999 in Crane, Texas. Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 8 at the First Baptist Church in Albany, Texas with the Rev. John Tunnell officiating. Burial followed in Albany Cemetery under the direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home of Crane.

Mrs. Cunningham was born on December 26, 1917 in Bell County, Texas. She married Obbie Thomas Cunningham on January 13, 1944 in Lueders, Texas. She was a housewife and an active member of the First Baptist Church in Albany. She was an accomplished musician in children's church music and played for Sunday School classes. She was a member of the Women on Mission and did artwork for various mission programs. She was a member of the Bluebonnet Study Club and of the Eastern Star, Albany Chapter 733.

Mrs. Cunningham was preceded in death by her husband on December 6, 1973; six brothers, Matthew Dillard, Robert Dillard, Lee Dillard, Ross Dillard, Ancil Dillard, & Jack Dillard; and five sisters, Fannie Dillard, Katie Barron Tripp, Zelma Dillard, Pearl O'Bryant, & Eunice Sides.

Survivors include a son, Obbie Cunningham; three daughters, Zelma Loter, Alice Scott, & Margaret Ashley; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
