James L. "Jim" Beachner, 88, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family September 5, 2016. Visitation from 10-11 a.m. with service at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 19, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Burial in Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Our Lady of Lourdes Parish.
Jim had lived in the KC area for 58 years. He and his wife, Kay owned and operated the Mobil-Teria Catering Company for 46 years, retiring in 2004.
Jim served on the boards of the Raytown Chamber of Commerce and Mercantile Bank; he was a member of MICA and a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish. He enjoyed spending time with his family at his family farm.
Jim was preceded in death by his wife in 2013, son, Gary in 2012, son-in-law, Tom Bradley in 2012 and twin granddaughters, Amy Robertson in 1980 and Amber Robertson in 1985.
Survivors include five daughters, Kathy Hofmann (Mark "Speed" Christopherson), Janet Bradley, Lynne Beachner (Gary Johnson), Donna Herrman (Pat) and Jamie Beachner; two sons, Chris Beachner (Mindy) and Kim Beachner (Elaine); 23 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Jim's family wants to thank the staff at Crossroads Hospice for their care and compassion.
