Brunson- Allen Leroy "Roy" Bowers Sr died Monday in Allendale County Nursing Home after a long illness.

He was born in Hampton County and was a retired farmer.

Survivng are his widow, Mrs Sarah Johnson Bowers of Brunson; a son, Allen Leroy Bowers Jr of Yemassee; two daughters, Mrs Mary Bowers Collier of St Petersburg, Fla; and Mrs Birtie J Bowers Smith of Hanahan, and 10 grandchildren.

Services will be 10:30 am Wednesday in Bowers Cemetery. Peeples Holland is in charge.
