Helen Martha McClendon, 92, of Silsbee, died Wednesday, September 07, 2016. She was born on January 31, 1924, in Stilwell, Oklahoma, to Eva and Thomas Wilson.

Survivors include her son, Robert McClendon and his wife, Beth, of Silsbee; grandchildren, Nicholas McClendon of San Antonio; Brandi Miller and her husband, Billy, of Silsbee; Frank Martin of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; and Annette Martin of Gadsden, Alabama; step-granddaughter, Stacy Barns and her husband, James, of Silsbee; eight great-grandchildren; siblings, Kelse Wilson of Florida and Wayne Wilson of Arkansas; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband of sixty-three years, Bentley Frank McClendon; daughter, Ruth Martin; grandson, James Martin; and sisters, Ruby Sweatfield and Mary Jo Wilson.

A gathering of McClendon’s family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m., with her funeral service at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 10, 2016, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. Her interment will be at Gainseville Cemetery, Gainesville, Missouri.
