Honoré Ruel, son of Joseph Ruel and Justine Bilodeau, was born and baptized on 18 Jan 1841 at Saint Gervais, Bellechasse, Québec, Canada. He married Georgina Lemieux, daughter of Joseph Lemieux and Mathilde Harpe, on 5 Apr 1864 at Saint Gervais. Honoré was widowed in 1876. He died thirty years later at the age of 65 and was interred in the parish cemetery of Saint Lazare on 2 May 1906.
