Jerry Southerland Adams 94 of Burgess Chapel Drive, Granite Falls, NC passed away Thursday September 1, 2016 at Trinity Ridge.
He was born June 13, 1922 in Clintwood, WVA to the late Hoarce and Annie Ferguson Adams.
He was a member of Morningstar First Baptist Church and retired from South Caldwell High School and he attended Elizabeth City State College.
He was preceded in death by one son Walter Adams and one granddaughter Bridgette Small-Payne.
The funeral service will be held Thursday September 8, 2016 at 1:30pm at Morningstar First Baptist Church 126 4th Ave. S.W., Hickory, NC 28602 with the Rev. David Roberts II officiating.
Burial will follow at Southside Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 1:00pm-1:30pm at the church.
