REDDING - Robert Claiborne Strathman, 62, of Redding died Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2005, at his residence.
A celebration of life will be Dec. 17 at the family residence.

Born Oct. 1, 1943, in Redding, he was a lifelong Shasta County resident.
He was a heavy-equipment operator in the construction industry, owned Strathman Excavating and Strathman Backhoe Service, was a member of Operating Engineers Local 3 in Redding and Shasta County Search and Rescue, and co-founded Rat Pack 4-Wheel Drive Club in Redding.
Survivors include wife Cheryl; brother Dennis of Cottonwood; sister Linda Fain of Anderson; and four grandchildren.
