Bobby Jay Allen of Humble, Texas passed from this life at his home after a long illness on September 4, 2016. He was born in Stephenville, Texas to Harold and Marie (Lewis) Allen.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.
Bobby, known to many as "Daddy Bob", has been married to his wife, Georgia, for 59 years. Together, they are known for their musical ministry, working with young children at various Christian churches throughout the area.
He is also survived by his three children, Harold Wayne Allen, Sr., Michael Lee Allen (Sandra), and Shannon Tipton (Drew); grandchildren, Harold Wayne Allen, Jr. (Ashley), Robert Jackson Allen (Devorah), Dixie Frasier (Jeremy), Patrick Allen (Theresa), Reagan, Peyton and Cameron Tipton; great-grandchildren, Chloe, Evan, Jessica, Weston, Wade, Brody, and Savannah; along with extended family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 8, 2016, in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg.
Donations may be made to North East Baptist Church of Humble, earmarked for MISSIONS.
