Wayne Chappell Sr.
Heaven gained another angel Nov. 28, 2015. Wayne was born March 7, 1942 in Chehalis, Washington. He was born to Emma (Blake) and Harold Chappell.

He attended Napavine school, then graduated from Auburn Seventh-day Adventist Academy. Shortly after that, he meet his first wife, Joan M. Kaliman in the halls of Yard Birds shopping center, where it was love at first sight. They married Aug. 10, 1968 and raised their children and many foster children. Joan Chappell passed away Dec. 1, 1996, then he married Marilyn Young-Chappell in July 2002. They spent 14 years together, before her passing April 20, 2015.

Wayne worked in the logging industry until his accident, which caused him to retire. He had a focus on life, but most of all he had a focus on his children. In the last stages of his life, his sons, Jacob and Jasson and daughter, Martena took care of him and were by his bedside at home, where he peacefully passed away.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert; first wife, Joan M. Chappell and second wife, Marilyn Young-Chappell; sons, Wayne Chappell Jr. and Gary Otterness; daughter, Jennifer Lee Ann Chappell; and grandson, Hunter Brodeur.

He is survived by his sons, Jacob and Jasson Chappell; daughter, Martena (Nick) Brodeur; sisters, Pat Sparks and Diane Mahin; and many nieces, nephews and grandchildren.

A service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Dec. 11, 2015 at the Rebekah Lodge in Napavine, followed by a burial at Claquato Cemetery in Chehalis.
