Virginia Fern Bandy Brown, age 90, originally from Bandy, Virginia passed away Sunday, September 4, 2016 at Commonwealth Memory Care Cedar Bluff, Virginia. She was born in Bandy, Virginia on October 5, 1925 to the late John M. and Maggie Creed Bandy. Fern was a lifelong member of the Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church in Bandy, Virginia. She will be remembered as our "angel on earth". Fern lived for her family and was a friend to everyone. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde F. Brown; one infant son, Roger Dale Brown; two daughters, Brenda Burgess and Leola Timmons; four sisters and four brothers. Fern was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She is survived by one daughter, Janet Looney and husband, Richard of Bluefield, West Virginia.One son, Randal Brown and wife, Teresa Lou of Claypool Hill, Virginia.
Her six grand-children, Tina Lynch and husband, Ronnie of Bluefield, West Virginia; Stephanie Looney of Bluefield, West Virginia; Syndee Salem of Tazewell, Virginia; Sidney Timmons of Bandy, Virginia; Tara Morris and husband, Kent of Rocky Mount, Virginia; Ashley Brown and fiancee, Mark Irwin of Radford, Virginia; Five great-grand-children, Syrena Saleem, Michaela Brewster and husband, Dustin; Emily Estens and husband Jason; D.J. Lynch and Devon McGonagle.Four great-great-grand-children, Ava Street, Ryleigh Estens, Braelyn Lynch and Ayden Brewster.

Funeral Services for Virginia Fern Brown will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at the Singleton Funeral Chapel in Cedar Bluff, Virginia with the Rev. Ray Justus and Cathy Chapiewski officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenhills Memory Gardens Cemetery at Claypool Hill, VA.
Pallbearers will be, Barry Muzzleman, Jeremy Muzzleman, Lowell Brewster, Brad Scott, Roger Robinson and Mack Payne.
