Obituary

Colleen Boerner
Born: March 16th 1931 in Yakima, Washington
Died: March 3rd, 2016 in Everett, Washington
Our Dear Colleen left us Thursday afternoon, March 3, at the age of 84 to go be with the Lord. She touched so many people in many ways. We know she is now at peace in a better place. We sent her off with a kiss of love, hugs and prayers. She will be missed.
Colleen lived 45 years of her life as a resident of Grays Harbor, with 21 years residing with her daughter Karen in Snohomish County. She spend the last 1-1/2 living at Forest View Transitional, while being cared for by all the staff there (thank you). We also want to thank Evergreen Hospice Care.
Colleen enjoyed all the seasons of the year which meant lots of road trips and eating out. She enjoyed the Evergreen State Fair and did not miss one in the last 22 years. She loved Halloween. She would get dressed up and hand out candy to kids and, yes, some adults.
Colleen is survived by her son, Stephen Boerner and wife Alice Boerner of Cosmopolis, WA, her daughter, Karen Boerner Benn Brudwick and her husband Randy Brudwick of Snohomish, WA, her grandchildren, Crispin Benn and wife Andréa Benn of Duval, Angela Leann Boerner Simpson and her husband Steve Simpson of Hoquiam, Paula Michele Boerner of Aberdeen, Michael Paul Boerner and wife Tara of Olympia, her great grandchildren, Garrett Benn, Ashley Hopkins, Kenneth Simpson, Jacob Simpson and Michael's daughter, and numerous nieces and nephews .
Colleen was preceded in death by her husband Francis Boerner of Grays Harbor, parents Mack McKinley Cahill, Esther Laverne Cahill and brother Wilbur Cahill.
A Graveside service only will be held Wednesday, March 9th at the Wynooche Cemetery, Montesano, WA.
In lieu of flowers Colleen asked that donations be sent to a Salvation Army or Hospice in your local area.
