"Myers, Doris Lee, age 79, of Maryville, passed away Saturday, August 14, 2004 at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star. She retired from Levi Strauss with 27 years of service and was a greeter at Walmart for eleven years. She was well known as the Dolly Parton of Walmart. Preceded in death by: husband of 32 years, Leroy Myers; parents, Clarence Goddard Teffeteller and Mary Roxie Mollie Teffeteller; brothers, Ray Teffeteller and Jack Teffeteller; sister, Faye Spence. Survivors include: daughter, Carolyn S. Myers of Nashville; sisters, June Graves and Anna Ruth Sterling both of Maryville; nieces and nephews, Ruby Hill, Debbie Rasbury, Clarence "Choo" Sterling, and Ginger Miya; several great nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be at 8:00 PM, August 16, 2004 at Smith Mortuary with Rev. Ronald Longmire and Rev. Greg Smith officiating. The interment will be at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, August 17, 2004 at Grandview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00 PM, Monday, August 16, 2004, Smith Mortuary."
